1 / Booking + Availability
How far in advance should we book our event?
We recommend booking as soon as you can — many couples reserve their date 12–18 months in advance, especially for summer weekends.

How do we arrange a viewing?
You can book a private viewing through our Contact page — we’d love to show you around and chat through your plans in person.

Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a deposit is required to secure your date, with the remaining balance due closer to your wedding. Full details are included in your booking agreement.

What happens if we need to postpone or cancel?
We understand that plans can change. Our postponement and cancellation policy is designed to be fair and flexible — please ask us for details when booking.​​​​
2 / Venue Details
Is Spinney Stays an exclusive-use venue?
Yes — your wedding day is entirely yours. You’ll have private use of the event spaces throughout your booking period.

How many guests can we invite?
Our spaces are flexible, ideal for intimate celebrations or larger gatherings. We can discuss exact capacities based on your chosen setup and style.

Are there indoor and outdoor ceremony options?
We are not yet licensed for ceremonies but we have worked with Cambridgeshire Ceremonies. More specifics can be found on Cambridgeshire Ceremonies website

Can we decorate the space ourselves?
Of course! We encourage couples to make Spinney Stays their own. We just ask that decorations are safe and respectful of the farm setting (no open flames or glitter, please). Organic confetti is permitted it is the responsibility of the couple to clean it up before checkout.
3/ Food + Drink
Do you provide catering?
We work with trusted local caterers who know the venue well, but you’re welcome to bring your own team too.

Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes — couples often provide their own drinks for the reception, and we can discuss corkage options if needed.

Do you have a bar on-site?
Yes, our rustic bar is stocked and staffed for you, serving a range of local ales, wines, cocktails and our own Spinney Cider selections.
4/ Music + Entertainment
Can we have live music or a DJ?
Definitely! Live bands, DJs, and acoustic performers are all welcome. Choose your own or select from some of our favs...

Is there a music curfew?
To follow our licensing rules amplified music finishes by 11pm but you can continue celebrations quietly afterwards until midnight.
5 / Accommodation
Do you have places to stay on-site?
Yes — that’s one of the best parts of Spinney Stays! We can offer beautiful on-site accommodation in the form of a pop up glamping hotel so you and your guests can stay together right on the farm.

Is there accommodation nearby for extra guests?
There are several lovely B&Bs and hotels in the local area — we’re happy to share recommendations.
Can guests camp?
We love the idea of guests staying close by! Depending on your booking, we can discuss camping options.
6 / Logistics
Is there parking on-site?
Yes, there’s plenty of space for guests to park.

Is the venue accessible for all guests?
We do our best to make the venue as accessible as possible — please let us know if any of your guests need specific support. We do have an accessible toilet and a ramp to get to into the barn if requested.

Are pets allowed?
Well-behaved dogs are welcome for outdoor ceremonies and photos, but we ask that they’re kept on leads due to our working farm animals and removed after the ceremony.

What if it rains?
We always have a contingency plan. Indoor or covered spaces can be used if the weather changes.

Can we take photos around the farm?
Yes — the grounds, fields, and rustic buildings make a beautiful backdrop. Just follow our safety guidance and avoid restricted farm areas.

Is Spinney Stays a working farm?
Yes, we’re part of Spinney Abbey Farm, which adds to our charm and authenticity. You’ll see some of the daily life of the farm during your stay, which makes every visit unique.

Do you have a recommended suppliers list?
Yes — we’ve worked with brilliant local florists, photographers, stylists, and caterers. We’re happy to share our favourites.

Will someone be there to help on the day?
Absolutely. Our friendly on-site team will be available to support all things related to the venue. We can provide day of coordination/recommendations for additional cost.

Can we visit before the big day?
Of course — we encourage couples to visit again before the wedding to plan setup and timings. Contact us to schedule a time that works. Additionally, we open the day before the event for setup and checkout the day after by 12 noon so you can actually enjoy the event without the rush.
